Every Friday from ten til one this wonderful tea room will be serving home made cakes, scones etc and proper coffee and tea.The room has a delightful atmosphere, surrounded by vintage tablecoths, silverware and crockery. My handmade cards will be on sale every week.
I have just started to put together some needlefelting kits which are suitable for youngsters and adults. The kits contain all you need to make a unique piece of felt, either flat or 3D. The needles are very sharp so I recommend adult supervision and to have a box of plasters handy. All the fibres are washed and clean and dyed by me.
Make someone happy this school holiday when the weather is not nice enough to go outside. The kits are small enough to take on holiday too.
The village hall will be packed out today from 10am til 2pm with local clubs, businesses and societies most of which use the hall on a regular basis. I shall be there to promote my workshops and very local yarn from Roger and Dave.
Took the boys up to Seaford Head today and the telescopes are set up so you can see the nesting birds up close and personal. There is a large colony of the birds there in the face of the white cliffs and it’s definitely worth a visit.
I recently purchased knitted ‘scarves’ that you dye, unravel and knit socks with. The painting took over half an hour to complete and was quite tricky to do in a very limited space but once steamed I was relieved to see that colours hadn’t run and it was quite pleasing. Before I start selling them on etsy I thought I should actually knit one up and it is really quite fun, never knowing where the stripe colour changes are going to be.I’m not too happy about the colours, they look faded but not bad for a first attempt!
