After painting the sock blanks I imagined painting onto other knitted fabric so here is the first painted, knitted cushion! Based on one of Dunan Grants paintings this bowl of flowers has been painted onto a machine knitted fabric. The fabric was first dyed with ‘slate’, the reverse side being slightly darker.The image was then hand painted freestyle before steaming to set the dye. It has a zip and a polyester cushion pad inside which makes it washable.
